Red Bull has delivered a health update on Yuki Tsunoda, following the driver's horrific barrel roll crash in the opening minutes of qualifying at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.

On his first flying lap, the Japanese driver lost control of his car through the Villeneuve chicane and made heavy contact with the barrier.

A "devastated" Lewis Hamilton made an alarming Max Verstappen comparison after his shock qualifying exit, that Ferrari "can't match" the Dutchman through the fast opening corners. 

Both Hamilton and Charles Leclerc suffered an embarrassing Q2 exit in qualifying for the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix and will start in 11th and 12th, to the disappointment of the drivers and the Tifosi.

Yuki Tsunoda told to be 'worried' by Red Bull 'ready' F1 rival

Jacques Villeneuve has claimed he would be "worried" if he were in Yuki Tsunoda's position at Red Bull, given the performances of Isack Hadjar at Racing Bulls.

The 1997 F1 drivers' champion expressed how impressed he has been with the Frenchman, who he feels is already knocking on the door of a promotion to Milton Keynes-based team, despite being just six full rounds into his F1 career.

Max Verstappen has declared the upcoming F1 races will be crucial for his future with Red Bull.

The Dutchman has long been linked with an exit from the Milton Keynes-based squad, with the rumours accelerated by intra-team political concerns in 2024 and a slump back in the pecking order.
