Charles Leclerc set the pace at the beginning of day two for Formula 1 pre-season testing at the Bahrain International Circuit.

The Ferrari driver set a best time on the C3 tyres of a 1:31.750s, ahead of Oscar Piastri and Logan Sargeant.

Leclerc clocked 29 laps in the SF-24 and settled in to long runs midway through the morning session.

Sergio Pérez suffered an early set back when he completed three laps, but had to dive into the pits due to a problem with his brakes.

After a small fire on the front right the team managed to change them and send him back out, but the Red Bull driver has only completed 17 laps so far.

Lewis Hamilton is behind the wheel of the W15 for the first time, setting the seventh quickest time after 27 laps. The team were also seen working hard in the opening stages of the session on his car, while out on track the Mercedes looked like it was suffering a lot from understeer during his timed runs.

The two-hour period passed without any yellow or red flags on track, follow all the action live here.
