A majority of F1 fans believe Liam Lawson will score his maiden grand prix win during the 2025 season, his first with Red Bull.
The New Zealander has replaced Sergio Perez at the Milton Keynes squad after the Mexican painfully underperformed for the six-time constructors' champions last season - to the extent that despite team-mate Max Verstappen winning the drivers' title by a healthy margin, Red Bull slumped to third in the standings, behind McLaren and Ferrari.
Further still, the 35-year-old was the only driver from the top four teams not to register a grand prix victory all season. The other seven all won multiple rounds.
Therefore, the team felt now was the time to pull the trigger and jettison him out the car, with Lawson parachuted in from Racing Bulls.
Although the 23-year-old has a considerable task on his hands and is in arguably the most difficult situation on the grid being alongside Verstappen, F1 fans feel he will succeed where Perez failed last term.
Of course, five of the Mexican driver's six grand prix triumphs came for the team after joining for the 2021 season, but his form dipped so drastically he could not compete with the drivers around him last year, when it mattered most.
As for Lawson, almost 70 percent of respondents to a recent RacingNews365 poll backed him to pick up a first F1 win in the campaign to come.
