Liam Lawson has suggested there is a chance he will not be racing in F1 at all next season.

Lawson was called up to RB ahead of the United States Grand Prix earlier this year to replace Daniel Ricciardo.

2024 F1 Qatar Grand Prix - Sprint qualifying results

Lando Norris secured pole position for the Qatar sprint, at the Lusail International Circuit. The Briton set a mighty 1:21.012, to top a McLaren one-three. 

Oscar Piastri was just under two tenths adrift in third, behind George Russell who completed the front row in second.

Verstappen delivers ‘simple’ instruction to fix F1 concern

Max Verstappen has stated F1 can solve its concerns over racing rules by adding gravel traps to the edge of the track.

The F1 drivers held a meeting in Qatar to discuss racing guidelines following scrutiny over Verstappen's aggressive manoeuvres on Lando Norris in the USA and Mexico.

Marko hints at reason for continued Tsunoda Red Bull rejection

Helmut Marko has suggested Yuki Tsunoda's lack of "continuity and stability" is a key reason behind his snubs for Red Bull F1 promotion.

Tsunoda has put in a number of impressive performances at RB this season, but despite these, is not believed to be a serious contender for the seat alongside Max Verstappen at Red Bull, if Sergio Perez is axed.

Sainz to make Williams debut before Abu Dhabi test

Carlos Sainz is set to make his Williams F1 debut a day earlier than expected after leaving Ferrari. 

Sainz agreed a deal to drive alongside Alex Albon from 2025 after losing his Ferrari seat to Lewis Hamilton, with the Spanish racer released by Scuderia boss Frederic Vasseur to sample the FW46 in the traditional post-season test, which takes place on the Tuesday following the season-finale.

Audi announces partial sale of F1 team

Audi has announced the partial sale of its Formula 1 team to the Qatar sovereign wealth fund. 

The Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) has become a minority stakeholder in Sauber Motorsport, which will morph into the works Audi operation in time for the 2026 season.
