Franco Colapinto will start from the pit lane for the second successive race over the Qatar Grand Prix weekend.
It has been a tough couple of days for Colapinto in the cockpit of his Alpine, with the Argentine qualifying last for the sprint and the GP.
On both occasions, Alpine has deemed it necessary to take Colapinto's car out of parc fermé and make vital changes to aid his cause for the relevant races.
Ahead of the sprint, the team changed the setup of the suspension. For the grand prix, the team has simply confirmed that "Franco will start the Qatar Grand Prix from the pit lane after the team made setup changes" to the car.
The FIA has confirmed that changes were again suspension related.
Colapinto's penalty is the second for a driver for the GP, with Sauber's Gabriel Bortoleto serving a five-place sanction for causing a collision in last weekend's Las Vegas Grand Prix.
