Las Vegas Grand Prix bosses are hoping to "pull some ideas out of the hat" in preparation for Max Verstappen winning the F1 championship at the race.
Verstappen heads to Nevada 62 points clear of erstwhile title rival Lando Norris, knowing that if he out-scores the McLaren driver by three points, he will become just the sixth driver in grand prix history to win at least four titles.
In 2023, the Dutchman had already long-wrapped up the crown by the time F1 arrived in Vegas for the first inaugural event, but with the championship potentially being decided, bosses are making preparations just in case.
"I'm sure that we would be able to pull some ideas out of our hat, maybe pre-arrange some pretty exciting opportunities,” event CEO Renee Wilm explained to Motorsport.com.
“When you consider the properties on the Strip - Wynn and Encore are second to none in terms of the highest class of hospitality.
"Then, of course, you have the Bellagio further down the Strip, with those iconic fountains, and the level of VIP service that the Bellagio offers.
“There are so many opportunities to highlight the drivers, and particularly if we actually do have the benefit of being able to get a champion [crowned].”
“Oh, absolutely I think the fact that the championship is still up for grabs is incredibly influential, particularly in the US market."
