McLaren has fitted Lando Norris' car with its final legal control electronics and energy store ahead of qualifying for the British Grand Prix.
Each driver can use two of each component during a season without receiving a penalty, with Norris' MCL39 having been fitted with the second of both.
Should Norris require either a new control electronics or energy store this season, it will result in a grid penalty.
It follows on from a huge range of engine changes being made throughout the F1 paddock ahead of this weekend at Silverstone, with nine other drivers being on the verge of a grid penalty.
Four of those nine drivers are Lewis Hamilton, Charles Leclerc, George Russell and Kimi Antonelli. During third practice, it was also confirmed that Williams has fitted Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon with a new internal combustion engine, turbocharger, motor generator unit-heat, motor generator unit-kinetic and exhaust.
Due to both drivers still having further new legal engine components of the named parts, neither are on the verge of a grid penalty.
