Lando Norris says he is not "wasting my time" over trying to figure out where McLaren team-mate Oscar Piastri holds an advantage.
From the five 2025 races thus far, Piastri has three wins to Norris's one, with the latter making two un-called for mistakes in Bahrain where he qualified sixth and 10th in Saudi Arabia after a qualifying crash in Q3.
Norris has been particularly vocal about his failures, including labelling himself "clueless" in Bahrain, whilst Piastri has quietly gone about his business to lead the standings by 10 points heading to the Miami Grand Prix.
Speaking abotu the situation, Norris felt Piastri was more "naturally able" to adapt to the MCL39, but that he wasn't' wasting his time about it.
"I think there are just certain things which don't allow me to feel what I need to feel and those things are what allow me to drive at the level I can drive at, to get pole positions and to drive at the highest level," he told media including RacingNews365.
"We are talking about small things, like it's not impossible to drive all of a sudden, it is just when we are talking about qualifying split by hundredths of a second, thousandths of a second - that is what I am complaining of and nothing more than that.
"I just think he is maybe more naturally able to adapt, and it is a driver's job to adapt to whatever car they get given, but there are compromises, and the team is also there to try and help you to get the most out of it.
"But it is clear that there have been some changes, and whether Oscar is just doing a better job at adapting, but it is not for me to try and figure out or waste my time on.
"Obviously, it's hurt me a little bit more, and I'm not able to perform at the level which I was at the end of last season, which is the best level I've been."
