A majority of F1 fans believe Oscar Piastri will outscore Lando Norris over the final 10 rounds of the F1 season, something that would ensure him his maiden drivers' championship.
The Australian leads his McLaren team-mate by nine points over the summer break, and their battle looks set to go down to the wire in Abu Dhabi.
Unless Max Verstappen, at 97 points adrift, can somehow produce something miraculous, whilst the papaya pair simultaneously and consistently falter during the run-in, it will be a first crown for either of the Woking squad's drivers.
It has been a close, evenly fought contest between Piastri and Norris so far. Although the Briton continues to enjoy the slight upper hand in outright pace, he has made more mistakes and is widely considered to be too error-prone.
As such, in a recent poll conducted by RacingNews365, less than one-third of voters backed the nine-time grand prix winner to outscore his team-mate by enough points to clinch the championship.
Interestingly, just under seven percent of respondents feel that although the 25-year-old will outperform Piastri over the final 10 rounds, it will not be enough to overturn the small deficits in the points standings.
