Lando Norris has revealed that he is eager to partner nine-time motorcycle world champion Valentino Rossi at the Le Mans 24 Hours.

The reigning world champion follows MotoGP and is a huge fan of Rossi, with his neon yellow branding inspired by the motorsport legend's iconic colours.

Rossi became famous for his neon yellow branding and merchandise, something Norris has brought to Formula 1.

Norris has built a strong relationship with the Italian, who has competed in GT and endurance racing since retiring from MotoGP at the end of 2021.

Competing in endurance racing himself is firmly on Norris' radar, something that could become easier with McLaren set to enter the World Endurance Championship next year.

Asked if he would like to partner Rossi at Le Mans, Norris instantly responded on the official Goodwood broadcast: "Hell yeah, I would."

Rossi immediately replied: "I tried to ask him, but they [McLaren] have too many races now."

While Norris' current F1 commitments do interfere with racing appearances elsewhere, he is intent on partnering Rossi in the future, especially with McLaren's hypercar programme.

"Yeah, we have too many races, but with McLaren now entering Le Mans, maybe not next year. But in a couple of years, three or four years, I would love to.

"It would be an honour for me, and we'll have a lot of fun. We'll have a lot of fun, for sure."

Rossi, who is now 47 years old, joked: "Granted, I'll try to wait for Lando, for sure."
