Lance Stroll will be investigated by the FIA stewards after qualifying for the Spanish Grand Prix at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

The Aston Martin driver was knocked out in Q2 and will provisionally start the race from P14 on the grid.

However, not before the Canadian has stood before the stewards.

The reason for the summons is for failing to follow the race director's event notes, specifically pertaining to driver weighing.

In the technical delegate's report from Jo Bauer, it was found that Stroll did not follow the usual post-qualifying weighing procedure as laid out in the race director's event notes.

He stayed for five minutes in the garage before heading to the scales and then did not proceed down the pit lane.

Weight is strictly enforced by the FIA, with Stroll facing a possible disqualification from his seventh row grid slot.
