Kevin Magnussen teams up with dad for Le Mans entry

Kevin Magnussen will race with ex-F1 racer father Jan, when the pair compete in this year's Le Mans 24 Hours.

Kevin Magnussen will race in this year's Le Mans 24 Hours, teaming up with experienced sportscar racer dad Jan, taking part in the LMP2 category. Both generations of Magnussen will compete with Aners Fjordbach completing their line-up in the #49 ORECA 07-Gibson to make up an all-Danish entry. It's the first time Kevin Magnussen will take part in the legendary event, having stepped away from Formula 1 at the end of 2020. Making the switch to sportscars this year, Magnussen junior has signed up to race with Chip Ganassi Racing in the IMSA Sportscar Championship, and has also signed a contract to join Peugeot's hypercar programme for Le Mans. Jan Magnussen is no stranger to sportscars, and will complete in the Le Mans 24 Hours for the 23rd time, which includes four class wins through a long career with Corvette.
