Whether Lando Norris is capable of putting together a concerted F1 drivers' championship fight have been one of the key talking points this F1 season.
The Briton headed into the campaign as the bookmakers favourite to dethrone Max Verstappen, but the emergence of Oscar Piastri has led to further question marks surrounding Norris.
Last year, it was argued by some that Verstappen could have won the title if he was racing for McLaren and that Norris failed to capitalise on the opportunity in front of him.
This term, his team-mate has overshadowed him, building a healthy 22-point advantage after 10 rounds, winning five grands prix to the 25-year-old's two.
That is all-the-more impressive given Norris won the season opener and Piastri only finished ninth, meaning in the nine subsequent rounds, there has been a 45-point swing in the Australian's favour.
Compounding the disparity in results has been Norris' well-known but increasing proclivity to make mistakes, with his most recent error sending him into retirement from the Canadian Grand Prix, after hitting the back of the other McLaren.
After the trip to the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, former Red Bull driver Robert Doornbos mused how Norris is not on the same level as Piastri, who he views to be of championship-winning ability.
