An intruder who breached security at the Singapore Grand Prix over the weekend faces up to three months in jail.
The 22-year-old from Sweden is reported to have entered high-security areas at the Marina Bay Street Circuit without proper accreditation, according to motorship.sg.
It is understood he infiltrated the paddock on Saturday before later gaining access to the VIP area of the Paddock Club. In the evening, he managed to enter the pit lane, where he was finally stopped by security.
Legal proceedings commenced against the individual on Monday, October 6, the day after the race. He has been charged with three counts of trespassing.
Although granted bail, he must appear in court again on November 3 for a hearing at which he could be jailed. He also faces a fine of SGD 1,500 [£865; USD 1,160].
