Dan Ticktum has received advice from David Coulthard after the 25-year-old was left furious in Monaco Formula E qualifying following an error by his team, making him think he "might punch someone".
The Briton had excellent pace at a wet Circuit de Monaco, despite having missed the end of free practice after grinding to a halt.
He progressed out of the group stage and into the duels; however, he failed to complete a competitive lap after the Cupra Kiro outfit put his car in the wrong mode.
In the duels, the power output is increased from 300kW to 350kW, with Ticktum having not had the correct power output, infuriating the former Red Bull junior driver.
"The team just messed up what mode the car should be in and I didn't get to go 350kW," Ticktum revealed to the official Formula E broadcast.
He continued to explain: "I got 350kW on the out-lap, and then it cancelled on the start/finish straight. So that's just great, isn't it."
Adrenaline was clearly extremely high following Ticktum's unfortunate qualifying exit, leading to a remarkable message.
"I've done my job this weekend, it's just not good enough," Ticktum insisted. "I suggest I don't talk to my team for at least two hours, because I think I might punch someone."
Despite the adrenaline factor, former F1 driver Coulthard was unimpressed by the Briton's remarks, and handed him some advice should he want to punch somebody.
"But come on, let's be honest," said Coulthard. "It's funny to watch, but the team are there when you're doing well, and you've got to be there for the team when things aren't going so well.
"So, you know, I'd put him in a room with a mirror if he wants to go and punch somebody."
