Nico Hulkenberg has been handed a black flag and is disqualified from the Sao Paulo Grand Prix.
On lap 27 of the race, Hulkenberg spun at Turn 1 and fell to the back of the field in extremely wet conditions.
Race control opted to deploy a virtual safety car as it seemed his car needed to be recovered.
It appeared the Haas driver was out of the race - however Hulkenberg was soon able to pull away again and re-join the grand prix.
It soon emerged that Hulkenberg received assistance from marshalls who pushed his car back onto the track.
This is outlawed by the F1 regulations, and as such, Hulkenberg was issued a disqualification.
It marks the first in-race disqualification for a driver since Felipe Massa and Giancarlo Fisichella at the 2007 Canadian Grand Prix.
