How McLaren beat all their F1 rivals during the Austrian GP

Despite spending the Austrian Grand Prix mired in the midfield, McLaren did emerge head and shoulders above the rest when it came to changing tyres, with the team logging the race's fastest pit-stop.

While McLaren's drivers Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo finished only seventh and ninth in Sunday’s Austrian Grand Prix, the team did at least finish top of one chart that day, scooping the DHL Fastest Pit Stop Award. The McLaren pit crew changed all four tyres on Daniel Ricciardo's MCL36 in just 2.25 seconds, 0.08s quicker than Red Bull managed to send Max Verstappen on his way. McLaren's time in Austria was just 0.02s shy of 2022's quickest pit-stop, set by Ferrari. Check out the top 10 fastest pit-stops from the Austrian Grand Prix below!

Verstappen takes fastest lap

Championship leader Max Verstappen might have had to settle for second place at the Red Bull Ring, but the Dutchman can console himself with the fastest lap, giving himself an extra championship point. Go on board with Verstappen’s fastest tour in Austria below.
