Liam Lawson faces a daunting task in 2025 being alongside Max Verstappen at Red Bull, in what is the New Zealander's first full-time F1 seat. Verstappen has been dominant against his last three teammates and is widely expected to do the same against Lawson. Pierre Gasly, Alex Albon and Sergio Perez all failed to consistently match Verstappen, something Lawson will be hoping to do. Not since Daniel Ricciardo in 2016 has Verstappen finished a season behind a team-mate; however, he did not race for Red Bull in the opening four rounds that year.
