Despite his team's recent dominance over the rest of the field, Christian Horner says it will be a 'massive ask' for Red Bull to win all six remaining races in 2022. The drinks-backed squad have won 12 of the 16 races so far this year, with Max Verstappen winning the last five events. The Dutchman, who can wrap up this season's Drivers' Championship at Singapore if results go his way, has 11 wins in total in 2022, and only needs to win three of the remaining events to break the record for most Grand Prix wins in a single season, currently held jointly by Sebastian Vettel and Michael Schumacher. But despite the variety of circuits that the RB18 has been victorious on this year, Horner said it would be a tall order for Red Bull to sweep the board for the rest of 2022. "That's a massive ask and [there is] some huge variance of circuits," Horner told media including RacingNews365.com . "Singapore, compared to [Monza], it's got the most corners on the [calendar]. It's bumpy, it's a street track, so it's a much different challenge. "We're in a great position in the championship, but we're going to attack every race and do the best we can, then the points will take care of themselves. "But we've been quick at Spa, Zandvoort, Monza and Budapest even, so on a variance of circuits, the car's performing really well."
Red Bull less dominant in Singapore?
Though Red Bull have had the edge on other teams in terms of straight-line speed in recent races, that advantage will likely be negated at Singapore by the tight confines and slow corners of the street circuit. Red Bull have not won at Marina Bay since the start of F1's turbo-hybrid era in 2014, and of this year's remaining races, Horner said that the track would be among the most difficult to emerge victorious on. "It should be one of the harder races, I would say," he said.
