A heavy crash early in the first qualifying session of the 24 Hours of Nürburgring Qualifiers triggered a lengthy red flag at the Nordschleife.
The #39 Aston Martin went left into a wall at Adenauer Forst, resulting in significant damage to the barrier, which needed immediate repairs.
It triggered a red flag at 08:45 CET, which lasted 55 minutes; however, RacingNews365 has discovered that qualifying ahead of this evening's one-hour race has been extended.
Qualifying for the first qualifiers’ race will now conclude at 10:50 CET, with Max Verstappen yet to be seen on circuit.
The four-time F1 world champion is sharing the #3 Mercedes-AMG GT3 in Verstappen Racing colours with Lucas Auer, who has been behind the wheel thus far.
