Sergio Perez will remain at Red Bull as Max Verstappen's team-mate for at least the rest of the 2024 F1 season.
As confirmed to RacingNews365 by the team, the 34-year-old will not be replaced by either Daniel Ricciardo or Liam Lawson - which was previously believed would be the case.
The news comes after Perez has endured a difficult run of form, a downturn that began at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.
In the past eight rounds, the Mexican driver has only been able to score 28 points. In that span, his team-mate has taken 141.
It has left the very real possibility that McLaren will overtake Red Bull in the fight for the constructors' title.
However, following a meeting with Red Bull senior management on Monday, team principal Christian Horner told team staff at its Milton Keynes factory that Perez would be seeing out the year.
