Lewis Hamilton has reflected on the return of Angela Cullen to his inner circle following his switch to Ferrari.

Cullen was a prominent figure during Hamilton's success-filled years at Mercedes and acted as his personal aide, as well as carrying out other duties.

She was often spotted trackside with Hamilton during race weekends but the two opted to part ways ahead of the 2023 season.

However, Cullen has been brought back to Hamilton's side as the seven-time champion prepares for his first season at Ferrari.

Explaining her return to F1, Hamilton highlighted he desired to install a strong foundation around him ahead of his new career challenge.

“It’s always important to have a good foundation of people around you,” Hamilton said. “I've generally had a very good base for many, many years.

“I still have all the team that I had last year, but I've bought Angela on top of that.

“We have a great relationship, me and Ange. We've known each other for a long, long time.

“We’ve gone through a lot together. She took a couple years out and she spent time with her family and discovering the world.”

Hamilton revealed he personally asked Cullen to return this year.

“Asking her to come and start this new chapter with me and her accepting it was really exciting.

“We’ve been having a blast. This past month together has been really awesome.”
