Chairman of the Grand Prix Drivers' Association Alex Wurz has called on Max Verstappen to keep his nose clean in Canada to avoid a race ban for Red Bull's home race in Austria.
Following a collision with George Russell at the Spanish Grand Prix, Verstappen picked up a further three points on his super licence.
It brought his total to 11 in the last 12 months, meaning just one more point will see Verstappen forced to the sidelines.
Verstappen will see two points on his licence disappear on June 30, after the Austrian Grand Prix.
The event in Spielberg marks a significant occasion for Red Bull as it marks its home race, with Verstappen triumphing at the grand prix on four occasions in the past.
However, should he get into trouble with the stewards this weekend in Montreal, Verstappen could be forced to miss the important Red Bull event.
“I haven't even considered that," Wurz told Krone Zeitung. “Then I'm just hoping that Montreal will be a dull race because of Max!
“No, seriously, I think he already has that in mind, but he'll start out with his elbows tucked in if the situation calls for it, but he'll pull them out again and bear the consequences.
“Nevertheless, Max is such a tough guy, smart enough to know how to handle such a challenging situation.
“We all need Max and want to see him in Spielberg!”

Alex Wurz predicts competitive Canada F1 round
This weekend marks the 10th round of the campaign, with the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve hosting the Canadian Grand Prix.
McLaren has enjoyed the strongest start of the leading teams, winning seven grands prix in the opening nine rounds.
However, Wurz stated that the track characteristics in Montreal make it difficult to determine who will come out on top.
“Canada is always good for a crazy race,” Wurz said. “They have their own asphalt there. Sticky. Completely different to all the other F1 circuits.
“You have to be really careful with predictions because you never know how the tires will perform on this surface.
“In terms of the balance of power between the top four teams, McLaren, Ferrari, Mercedes and Red Bull Racing, there can be a lot of shuffling.”
