Cadillac has revealed how Sergio Perez has already made an impact on F1's newest team after sessions in the simulator uncovered a major change he wanted.
Perez has been signed alongside Valtteri Bottas to form an uber-experienced line-up for Cadillac's first attack on F1 in 2026, with the team set to run a Ferrari customer power unit until it can prepare its own in-house unit towards the end of the decade.

FIA announce major F1 change ahead of 2026 rules introduction
The FIA has announced the introduction of a mechanism to ensure a level playing field across F1's power unit manufacturers ahead of the 2026 rules revolution.
For next season, the power units are to undergo their biggest change since the turbo hybrids were introduced in 2014, with the electrical systems to be beefed-up to 350kw from the current 120kw, with the MGU-H set to be removed with sustainable fuels also set to be introduced.

Lando Norris has taken full accountability and responsibility for the collision with McLaren team-mate, and Formula 1 title rival, Oscar Piastri in the Singapore Grand Prix.
On the opening lap of the Singapore race, Norris dived up the inside of Piastri at Turn 2, but clipped the rear of Max Verstappen's car.
