Max Verstappen issued a furious radio message during the Australian Grand Prix while exiting the pit lane behind Arvid Lindblad.
The Dutchman found himself behind the only rookie on this year's Formula 1 grid as a result of starting 20th, following a surprise crash in qualifying.
Verstappen crashed at the opening corner in the early minutes of qualifying at Melbourne's Albert Park due to his rear axles locking.
It was a similar accident to what Lance Stroll experienced during Bahrain testing and was again not due to driver error.
Nevertheless, the four-time world champion quickly worked his way through the pack, although he was impacted by having no charge in his battery as the lights went out.
Ultimately, Verstappen finished sixth, directly behind Lando Norris, with getting past Lindblad having been one of his toughest challenges.
Lindblad proved incredibly difficult to overtake for several drivers on the Briton's F1 debut, although Verstappen felt he crossed the line when the pair pitted.
Verstappen entered the pit lane for his only stop directly behind Lindblad on lap 19 during a second virtual safety car, after Valtteri Bottas ground to a halt in his Cadillac on the inside of the final corner.
As the pair entered the pit lane, Verstappen appeared to gain on the 18-year-old before later issuing a furious radio message, claiming that Lindblad had brake-checked him.
"F***ing brake-checking!" Verstappen complained over the radio.
Verstappen's race engineer, Gianpiero Lambiase, responded: "Repeat that, Max."
The 28-year-old replied: "Got f***ing brake-checked the whole pit lane."
"Copy that, thank you," said Lambiase.
The stewards did not note the incident, meaning no investigation took place, with Lindblad going on to finish eighth on debut.
