The flexi-wing saga is set to take a new turn as the FIA are now believed to be in the process of reviewing the front wings found on the 2021 Formula 1 car. RacingNews365.com has learnt that the FIA is investigating the horizontal elements found on the front wings in order to ascertain whether they bend beyond the prescribed limits, with the added flexibility said to provide teams with an added performance advantage, as highlighted recently by Red Bull executives Christian Horner and Helmut Marko. "I think there is plenty of footage from this weekend as well," Horner told RacingNews365.com . "We trust the FIA in this matter, you cannot treat the front wing differently from the rear wing. What applies to the rear wing, you would expect it to also apply to the front wing." While a formal protest has not been lodged, the FIA has accessed onboard footage which shows the degrees of flex with the Mercedes W12 believed to be one of the cars in the spotlight.
