The FIA has rescinded its removal of the fourth straight mode at Albert Park after further feedback from F1 teams.
The initial change came after the drivers were outspoken in their briefing with the motorsport governing body on Friday evening.
However, after being informed on Saturday Morning in Melbourne, some teams were unhappy with the development, forcing the FIA to reverse the decision ahead of FP3.
The removal of the Straight Mode Zone 4 could be reinstated for qualifying for the Australian Grand Prix, but the situation is dynamic and currently unclear.
In a statement shared to media, including RacingNews365, the FIA said: "Following the feedback received in the last hour from Teams and Drivers, and additional analysis contributed by Teams, the decision to remove Straight Mode zone #4 for Albert Park is rescinded.
"For the avoidance of doubt, this amendment is effective immediately, and Straight Mode activation Zone 4 will be in used in FP3.
"Further evaluation will take place during and after FP3."
