The FIA has announced a new deputy F1 race director to complete the restructuring of race control.
Rui Marques will continue on as F1 race director for the 2025 season, with Claire Dubbelman being appointed as his deputy, it has been reported by The Race.
Dubbelman is the FIA's F1 sporting manager and has served as a championship manager for a number of series, including FIA F2 and FIA F3, having joined the body in 2017.
She is a graduate of the FIA's High Performance Programme, which is dedicated to producing stewards and race officials for the next generation, with a summit recently taking place in Madrid with over 230 officials from all seven of the FIA's world championships being involved.
The new Marques/Dubbelman axis in race control comes after previous race director Niels Wittich was removed from post suddenly, just prior to the Las Vegas Grand Prix, with Marques standing in for the final three races.
The FIA also then lost FIA F2 deputy race director Janette Tan.
Race control has undergone significant restructuring over the past couple of years, including the creation of a Remote Operations support centre in Geneva, akin to a VAR centre in football.
