Charles Leclerc has revealed that Ferrari is doing "absolutely everything" to solve the current problems with the SF-24, which has made the Italian outfit less competitive.
Ferrari made a strong start to the season and were the initial threat to Red Bull, with Carlos Sainz and Leclerc having claimed victories in Australia and Monaco, respectively.
However, the Maranello-based team's season took a turn for the worse after introducing a large upgrade package for the Spanish Grand Prix, which had a negative impact on the car.
The upgrade caused Ferrari to start suffering from bouncing once again, which ridiculed several teams when the current regulations were introduced in 2022.
It is Ferrari's new floor which was introduced in Barcelona which is believed to be behind the reintroduction of bouncing, which has resulted in the team dropping from second to fourth in the pecking order.
Of the top four teams, it is Ferrari with the most work to do after the summer break, with it being a situation Leclerc did not expect.
When speaking to select media including RacingNews365, Leclerc conceded that ahead of the season, he did not expect Ferrari to be where it is in the summer break.
"No, it would be a lie," said Leclerc. "I don't think we had much expectation when we got into the season, we're just really focusing on ourselves.
"It's very difficult to expect or anticipate anything with these cars. We did not expect to be where we are, but we are here and we are very much aware of where the areas are where we need to work.
"We are putting absolutely everything in order to turn the situation around."
