Citroën has announced that it will field 2023 Formula 2 champion Theo Pourchaire in next week's Formula E rookie practice session in Miami.
The 40-minute rookie session ahead of next weekend's Miami E-Prix at the Hard Rock Stadium is a designated slot for each team to run either one or two inexperienced drivers.
While Pourchaire is yet to race in the all-electric series, he has completed several tests, most recently in Stellantis' Gen4 machinery in Almeria, according to Formula E Notebook.
The Frenchman is a contender for a potential seat within the Stellantis family in Formula E next season, for when Gen4 is introduced.
"I’m really happy to be returning to Formula E for the rookie test in Miami, and I can’t wait to take on another new track," said Pourchaire.
"The last time I drove the car was in Berlin in 2025, so it has been a little while, but I’ll be doing extensive simulator work with the team to make sure I’m as prepared as possible for the session.
"The Hard Rock Stadium circuit is new for everyone, so I’m looking forward to contributing to the team’s preparation and learning as much as I can in this unique environment."
Pourchaire's first test in Formula E machinery came early in 2022 in the Gen3 car, before running for Maserati in last year's Jeddah rookie practice and Berlin's official rookie test.
Also confirmed for the test are F1 Academy driver Chloe Chambers who will drive for Mahindra, Nikita Bedrin for DS Penske and reigning DTM champion Ayhancan Güven.
