Formula 1's hopes of a return to Africa could soon be bolstered if a planned $1.2 billion project is given the green light in Morocco, RacingNews365 can exclusively reveal.
F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali stated over the Monaco Grand Prix weekend he was in talks with three African countries in a bid to end the sport's 32-year wait for a race on the continent, although he caveated it by saying he did not expect an "outcome in the very short term".

F1 team principals divided over major Spanish GP rule change
New FIA rules are coming into force for the Spanish Grand Prix, as the front-wings are set to be met with stricter tests to control flexing.
Flexi-wings have once again reared their head in F1 over the last year, with the FIA stepping in to make changes to the rear-wing tests earlier this season, but for the front-wings, teams were given until Round 9 in Barcelona to comply.

Max Verstappen has named consistency as the key which will unlock a fifth straight F1 crown as he faces the "reality" of being 25 points behind in the title race.
The reigning world champion currently sits 25 points behind McLaren's Oscar Piastri as F1 heads to the Spanish Grand Prix at Barcelona, a race he has previously won four times, including on his debut for the team in 2016.

Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff has voiced “intrigue” over how the FIA technical intervention on flexing wings will impact the F1 pecking order.
Amid concern over how much the wings were flexing at high speed, the FIA stepped in several months ago and ordered a clampdown from Barcelona onward.
