F1 fans have named Max Verstappen as their favourite to claim the 2025 F1 world championship, according to the results of a RacingNews365 poll.
Heading into the finale, Lando Norris leads on 408 points, to Verstappen's 396 following a stunning comeback over recent months, with Oscar Piastri also in contention on 392 points.
The trio qualified for the decider in the top three places with Verstappen on pole from Norris and Piastri.
To be crowned champion, Norris must simply finish on the podium, whilst if Verstappen wins, Norris must on the podium. A Verstappen victory coupled with Norris finishing off the podium will hand the Dutchman the title.
For Piastri, his easiest route is to win the race, which makes Verstappen's finishing position irrelevant, with Norris then coming home in sixth or lower.
In a poll which attracted just under 29,000 votes, F1 fans have selected Verstappen as their favoruite to become 2025 world champion - and equal Michael Schumacher in winning five straight world titles, and Juan Manuel Fangio in becoming a five-time champion.
