In F1, teammates serve as the ideal benchmark for each other given that they are the only two drivers on the grid running (at most times) the same machinery.
As drivers and teams enjoy the summer break, there are 13 Grands Prix – and more specifically 13 qualifying sessions – to look back on and judge performance levels.
Towards the top of the list, Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc enjoy comfortable leads over teammates Sergio Perez and Carlos Sainz, having topped 10 qualifying sessions to three.
The biggest 'winners', however, are Lando Norris, Kevin Magnussen and Alexander Albon, who have defeated their teammates in all bar two sessions.
As it stands, the closest battle is between Mercedes pair George Russell and Lewis Hamilton, with the score sitting at 7-6 in the youngster's favour.
