Esteban Ocon has accidentally revealed some spoilers of the upcoming F1 film after the drivers were treated to a private viewing.

On Wednesday evening in Monaco, drivers, their partners and senior bosses were shown the upcoming film starring Brad Pitt, for which Lewis Hamilton has served as a producer and technical advisor.

Drivers are subject to a non-disclosure agreement ahead of the global release at the end of June, although Ocon revealed slightly more than he intended to when questioned about the film, directed by Top Gun: Maverick's Joseph Kosinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer.

"First of all, I said to Lewis, it is super immersive with the scenes of them driving the cars, and I think that is fantastic," Ocon told media, including RacingNews365.

"That is something we've never seen, and there was some great racing, scenes like at Daytona, for example, there are some good battles down the inside and stuff like that.

"At some points, there were things which didn't really make too much sense for us as drivers being inside the paddock and going racing, but I really see where Lewis has put his touch and tried to make everything as realistic as possible.

"What I found really good is that at the last race, they don't just suddenly fly to win, but because of something happening in the race, putting the red flag and not being in Q3 or having new tyres..."

At this point, it was pointed out to Ocon that the media had not yet seen the film, with only drivers, their partners and bosses invited to the showing.

When asked about the aspects he would like to have seen changed, Ocon spoke about "crashes."

"Some parts you can really feel that Lewis has pushed to keep it super realistic, but there were some parts where they needed to make it a little bit more Hollywood," he said.

"It needs to be catching the eye of everyone, and there are a few things I'd like to have seen more racing-focused, maybe fewer crashes and more racing

"But overall, it is still by far the best racing movie of all time, and I think it will be a mega success.

"I feature quite a lot in it, but I'm glad I didn't have too many incidents with Sonny Hayes."
