Daniel Ricciardo has been treated in hospital for minor injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Australia, it has been reported.
The eight-time grand prix winner came off the dirt bike he was riding in Queensland and sustained a minor collarbone injury, PlanetF1 has reported.
Ricciardo is believed to have been riding through the Daintree, the world's oldest tropical rainforest, when he suffered the injury, but was in good spirits after receiving treatment at Mossman Hospital, about 50km away.
Since leaving F1 after the 2024 Singapore Grand Prix, Ricciardo has kept away from the limelight, despite his enduring popularity with fans.
He was recently attending a conference, where he was asked about his new full-length beard, and was recently in Alaska, where he stated a "bonus" was not getting mauled by a grizzly bear.
Despite fans calling for his return, potentially with Cadillac in 2026, Ricciardo considers his F1 career to be over.
