Pirelli is to introduce new podium caps at grands prix, reflecting the "traditions and cultural identity" of host countries.

From this weekend's season-opening Australian Grand Prix, the traditional black podium caps will be replaced by a baggy green-esque design - the famous caps worn by Australian Test cricketers.

Designed by Denis Dekovi, there are 14 different looks for the new designs, which will also use the colours and materials from the host country.

Pirelli has previously make tweaks to the the podium cap, such as when Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel and Fernando Alonso wore cowboy hats after the first-ever race at the Circuit of the Americas following the 2012 United States GP, or after the 2015 Russian GP when Hamilton, Vettel and Sergio Perez wore Russian Ushankas.
