Carlos Sainz was one of a number of drivers to suffer major brake issues during the first practice for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
The rear brakes on Sainz's Williams caught fire as he returned to the garage early in the session at the Baku Street Circuit.
The issue was quickly dealt with by his Williams crew, but it was naturally a concerning moment for the Spanish driver.
Bizarrely, brake problems dominated the opening 15 minutes.
Isack Hadjar, on his return to Red Bull after missing the last three grands prix due to a wrist injury, reported that he had "crazy pulling on the brakes", adding that he "nearly shunted into the wall".
McLaren's Oscar Piastri followed suit with his own worrying brake message soon after. Over the radio, the Australian said: "The vibration on these brakes is unbelievable. Like, twice as bad as anything I've ever had."
Sainz's Williams team-mate Alex Albon was then the third driver to report a brake problem. He said: "My brakes feel very strange. It's pulling and it comes in late. I don't know what I'm going to get."
Sainz then had the fire to compound Williams' FP1 woes.
