Martin Brundle has outlined he admires Lando Norris' loyalty to McLaren ahead of the Briton's seventh season with the team.
McLaren enter the upcoming campaign aiming to defend its constructors' championship victory in 2024.
Norris has set his personal sights on triumphing in the drivers' standings and secure his maiden title, vowing to get his “elbows out” in order to do so.
At the start of 2024, Norris penned a multi-year extension with McLaren as he placed his long-term faith in the Woing-based squad.
Brundle highlighted he respects the devotion Norris has given to the squad.
“What I admire about Lando is, when a lot of drivers would have left McLaren, there were a lot of enticing offers, he trusted the team,” Brundle told Sky F1.
“I do admire that, because he trusted the team, believed in them.
“Now they’ve come through, and they're the reigning World Champions for teams. So let's hope he gets title payback.”
RacingNews365 fans have weighed in on Norris' title chances for the upcoming season and have predicted he will not win the championship.
However, Brundle believes the 25-year-old is well-placed to take home the illustrious trophy.
“Does he think he can win the world championship? I'm pretty sure he does, actually,” Brundle said.
“I think he knows what he's got to do with a lot of experience, now he's won races.
“He won two races last year brilliantly, from the front, he dominated. So I think he's got all the ingredients.”
