The São Paulo Grand Prix has had its contract extended until the 2035 season, Formula 1 has officially confirmed.
Interlagos is one of the most popular stops on the calendar among fans and drivers. The circuit near São Paulo has a long history of producing drama, helped in no small part by its famously unpredictable weather.
Over the years it has hosted numerous iconic races, including several memorable wet-weather drives.
Max Verstappen famously rose from starting at the back of the grid to win in treacherous conditions in 2023, while Lewis Hamilton won from 10th in 2021.
The 2008 edition also remains etched in the sport's history, when Lewis Hamilton passed Timo Glock through the final corner complex on the last lap to seal his maiden world title.
Interlagos was already contracted to host the race through to 2030. Formula 1 has now extended that deal further, meaning the São Paulo is set to remain on the calendar for five more years beyond that date.
Stefano Domenicali, President and CEO of F1, said: "Brazil is an important part of Formula 1’s history and our future, and I am delighted that this five-year extension will see us continue racing in São Paulo until 2035.
"The passion of our Brazilian fans is extraordinary, and every time we return to Interlagos we feel their energy in the grandstands and in the city of São Paulo. Brazil has produced an incredible 33 Formula 1 drivers, including Gabriel Bortoleto and Rafael Câmara who are racing this weekend in front of their home crowd, which will add to the many previous unforgettable racing moments in São Paulo.
"The continued success and excitement surrounding the event shows why it holds such a special place on our calendar, and this agreement underlines our long-term commitment to Brazil.
