The 2026 Azerbaijan Grand Prix is to be moved forward 24 hours to Saturday after a request from promoters, F1 has announced.
Originally pencilled in for Sunday, 27th September, the Baku event is to shift forward 24 hours due to Remembrance Day being held in the country, with the race being run on Saturday, 26th September.
It means qualifying is to take place on Friday, 25th September, with practice on Thursday, 24th and media day on Wednesday, 23rd.
The race will be one of two grands prix to be held during local time on a Saturday in 2026, the other being the Las Vegas Grand Prix.
The 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix was F1's first Saturday race since 1985, with the 2024 Bahrain and Saudi Arabian GPs also held on Saturday due to Ramadan.
