The Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps is an iconic stop on the Formula 1 calendar being one of the seven original circuits that made up the maiden championship in 1950. The track was redeveloped and shortened to 7.004km in 1979, though it still holds the distinction of being the longest track of the year. It’s mix of long straights, fast corners and unpredictable weather make it one of the premier events of the campaign.

Michael Schumacher leads the way with six wins at Spa, with Lewis Hamilton and Kimi Raikkonen still harboring hopes of catching him as they sit on four behind the legendary Ayrton Senna. Hamilton was the most recent winner, converting his pole position to a dominant win ahead of teammate Valtteri Bottas with Max Verstappen rounding out the top three.
