A third red flag was flown in first practice ahead of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, following a shunt for Williams rookie Franco Colapinto.
The Argentine driver lost the rear of his car on the entry of Turn 4, resulting in contact with the wall on the exit of the corner. The front right of his FW46 sustained significant damage.
Colapinto's accident occurred with just 17 minutes remaining in the session, which had already been red-flagged on two occasions.
The first red flag was the shortest, as a small piece of debris needed to be retrieved from the circuit.
Charles Leclerc caused the second just prior to 30 minutes into the session, with the Monegasque having crashed at Turn 15.
Lewis Hamilton was the quickest driver by 0.168s at the time of Colapinto's unfortunate crash.
