Aston Martin has confirmed it will launch its 2026 F1 car, the AMR26, on Monday, 9 February next year.

That date falls between the private test that all 11 teams are conducting at the Circuit de Barcelona Catalunya at the end of January and the first official test in Bahrain, which kicks off two days after the team unveils its challenger.

It is the fourth season in succession that the Silverstone-based squad will race with Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll in the cockpit, with F2 driver and academy member Jak Crawford stepping into Felipe Drugovich's reserve driver role.

F1 is overhauling its power unit and chassis regulations for the 2026 campaign, and Aston Martin is venturing into a works team partnership with Honda, which is leaving Red Bull.

The AMR26 will also be the first Adrian Newey-designed car for the team, as he steps into the team principal role, in place of Andy Cowell, who will focus more intensively on the power unit side of things.

Aston Martin will be hoping for a stronger season than it has enjoyed in 2025. With one round to race, it sits seventh in the constructors' standings, having been fifth in 2023 and 2024.
