Both Aston Martin drivers have been summoned by British Grand Prix stewards after incidents in qualifying. Lance Stroll qualified eighth and Fernando Alonso in 10th as both drivers made Q3, but the pair have been requested to see stewards after respective incidents in Q1. Stroll has been called for an alleged breach of Article 37.2 after exiting the pit-lane after the red light came in for the suspension of the session after Sergio Perez beached the Red Bull at Copse. Stroll was switching to slick tyres, and had about a second to react when leaving the pit-box at the end of the pit lane. He will attend the stewards at 1645 local time. Alonso meanwhile has been called for Aston Martin allegedly working on the car in the fast lane of the pit lane as the field awaited for the session to resume following Perez's off. This is a breach of Article 34.4 if proven, with Alonso due to see the stewards at 1700 local.
