Andretti Formula E team principal Roger Griffiths has outlined his intent for the American outfit to bounce back in the upcoming campaign, with last season being judged as "disappointing".
The 2025 season was a poor one by Andretti's usually high standards, although at times for reasons outside the squad's control.
2023 world champion Jake Dennis was once again the team's clear lead driver, scoring 93 of its 141 points – Nico Müller scored the other 48. The underwhelming points total was only enough for seventh in the standings, considerably below its own standards of being a top five outfit.
Change has taken place during the off-season, with Müller having joined Porsche to replace Antonio Felix Da Costa. In a major move for Andretti and Formula E, 2022 Formula 2 champion Felipe Drugovich has joined as Müller's replacement.
While time will be required for Drugovich to settle into the series and the team, there are real expectations in the paddock that the Brazilian could be a star in the championship.
Regardless, bouncing back and challenging for regular podiums is on Griffith's agenda, with last season's frustration a present memory.
"It was a disappointing year," said Griffiths in Valencia during pre-season testing. "It's the first year that we've not had a race win in a little while.
"We can look back at any number of incidents that occurred, reliability, some off-track stuff that really didn't go to plan.
"You can always do the what if scenario, and if this had happened, and that happened, maybe there was a P3 in the championship for the team.
"We lost a race win in Monaco, potentially with Nico, when the boost charge had failed. We had an opportunity of a race win in Jakarta go by the wayside with Jake, when he got confused which button to press coming out of the yellow [flag] mode.
"So we squandered some opportunities. We had some reliability challenges, but we learned from it. We put that behind us, and we focus forward on what this season can bring."
