Fernando Alonso has revealed his main target for his final race with Alpine at Abu Dhabi. The team are fighting for P4 in the Constructors' Championship with McLaren, with just 19 points between them following a strong finish from Alpine in Brazil. Alonso anticipates that it will be difficult to repeat their performance at Sao Paulo, but hopes to finish on a high after suffering from poor reliability throughout the year. "I think it has been up and down a little bit for us in terms of performance, but also reliability has been our weakest point," Alonso told media, including RacingNews365.com . "So, let's see if we can finish the season on a high and with a good result here. About how competitive we can be, I don't think that we can repeat the Brazil performance."
Main target for final race
Alonso has set out what the team's main target is for the weekend, given that they will arguably struggle to keep up with the top three. A solid finish in front of both McLaren drivers would secure them P4 in the Constructors' battle. He added: "I don't think that we will be that close to the top three, but hopefully if we are in front of the midfield that's already something for us. "That's the target, finishing the race with a good result and yeah enjoy every single lap on Sunday."
