For a 41 year-old, Fernando Alonso is pretty impressive.
After an ecstatic run of form throughout the Bahrain Grand Prix weekend, the two-time Formula 1 World Champion took a shock podium with a team that finished as high as 12th in last year's race.
It was the 99th podium of his career and enabled him to enter the top 20 in a list that he is likely climb in the coming seasons.
Not far off Schumacher
The list of 'Oldest drivers with an F1 podium' might not seem that glamorous, but it is a tribute to the drivers that still had natural ability as their careers went on.
Michael Schumacher was the last entrant to the list with his third place podium at the 2012 European Grand Prix at 43 years, 5 months, and 12 days - a that was incidentally won by Alonso.
With Alonso on a two-year contract at Aston Martin, it is likely that he could beat Schumachers record as he turns 43 next year.
The oldest driver on the list is Luigi Fagioli at 53 years and 22 days, having won the 1951 French Grand Prix with Juan Manuel Fangio.
Given the form of Aston Martin, Alonso could also break another record should the right circumstances present themselves.
