Noel Leon has inherited reverse pole position for the F2 sprint race at the Monaco Grand Prix after Joshua Dürksen was handed a three-place grid penalty for impeding Kush Maini.

The Invicta driver qualified P10 in the Principality, but will instead start the shorter race in fourth. As the punishment applies to both races, he will provisionally start the feature in P13.

Maini was handed an equivalent penalty of his own for causing a collision with Laurens van Hoepen at the start of Group B's session, which consequently triggered a red flag.

Therefore, the ART driver has been bumped from fifth to eighth on the sprint race grid and will provisionally fall from fourth to seventh to start on Sunday.

John Bennett instigated a red flag stoppage in Group A, and as the sole cause of that interruption, he lost his best lap time, which had been enough for P17 and, as a result, falls outside the 107 per cent threshold.

However, like Trident team-mate Van Hoepen, he has been permitted to race by the stewards.
