There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms impacting the 2026 Indy 500.
As of 10:00 local time on race day morning, there are forecasts of a 60% chance of thunderous showers hitting the Brickyard for the 12:45 local time start.
The peak time for the showers is expected around 14:00 - 17:00 local time, with the race expected to take the usual three hours.
The wind will be gusting from the west to east - crossing from right-to-left across the pit-straight into Turn 1, which runs directly south.
