Although Mercedes did not end pre-season testing with the fastest lap time, the Brackley-based squad can take encouragement from its promising mileage from the build-up period.
It racked up the most number of laps across the Barcelona shakedown and two Bahrain tests, despite running into a handful of issues - primarily when it Kimi Antonelli's turn behind the wheel.
Overall, six teams managed to tally over 1,000 laps. They were: Mercedes, Haas, Ferrari, McLaren, Racing Bulls and Alpine.
On the other end of the spectrum, it was a challenging few weeks for Aston Martin.
The Silverstone-based squad easily racked up the fewest number of laps from any team as it faced various issues throughout the tests.
It now has considerable work to do to to get itself into a competitive position ahead of the season-opening Australian Grand Prix in two weeks' time.
